DANCING WITH GIANTS is the story of a remarkable friendship that survives in a dangerous world. This world premiere production, written by David Feldshuh and starring Broadway/film/TV star Tovah Feldshuh, is a cautionary tale inspired by actual events.
Just before World War II, three very different men – New York wheeler-dealer boxing manager Joe “Yussel the Muscle” Jacobs, German boxing champion Max Schmeling and American World Champion Boxing Great Joe Louis – form an astonishing bond. For this friendship to survive, they must battle the ruthless manipulation of the truth by Dr. Joseph Goebbels, Hitler’s Minster of Propaganda and Enlightenment.
Politics and sports, fabrication and fact, comedy and drama all collide in this riveting and entertaining theatrical adventure.
