Loving Black Artists

Since 2015 Black Table Arts has been raising volume in black life through the arts to uplift black lives in Minnesota. Join us for an evening of poetry from Black writers who remind us why poets are needed when thinking about a more equitable and just future. At Black Table Arts we recognize the role of poets is to keep the imagination, empathy and memories of a community alive and present, we are delighted to be in collaboration with the Illusion Theater to bring you a line up featuring such insightful and brilliant writers.

Keno Evol of Black Table Arts hosts this evening that will include poets Lester Batiste (He/Him), Donte Collins (They/Them), Sarah Ogutu (She/Hers) and Antonio Duke (He/Him).

Serving Black Futures: Loving Black Artists will be presented over YouTube. You can choose to join us on opening night or choose to stream the performance at your leisure.

Please note that tickets for opening will cut-off an hour before the performance on the 20th. Tickets for streaming will cut-off at 10pm on August 30th.
