In LAKE UNTERSEE Rocky, a troubled teenager, longs to leave his divorced parents and their dysfunctional relationships behind. Stuck between his mother, a has-been novelist, and his equally oblivious father, Rocky begins to receive love letters written in snow. With nowhere else to turn, he embarks on the adventure of a lifetime to Antarctica’s Lake Untersee, where the love of his life is trapped beneath layers and layers of ancient ice.

BREAKING IN: how to move from academia to the real world, from amatuer to professional, and build a meaningful life in the theater.

This free event includes panelists Wendy Knox (Director/Artistic Director, Frank Theater), Wu Chen Khoo (Freelance Lighting Designer and Technical Director), Annie Enneking (Freelance Actor, Choreographer, and Rock-n-Roll Frontwoman), Jamil Jude (Director and Producer-in-Residence at Mixed Blood Theater), and Josh Wilder (Playwright, Actor and current Jerome Fellow). The discussion will be moderated by playwright and Workhaus co-founder Trista Baldwin.

This is a PRE SHOW event to our upcoming production of LAKE UNTERSEE at The Illusion Theater. The event will be held in their lobby and refreshments will be available for purchase

Through hilarity and mishap, he leads his fellow fifth grade classmates through rehearsals of an adaptation of Shakespeare's greatest drama.

Snow White and her angry band of storybook friends are “storming the castle” in order to take their lives back! Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Belle, Hua Mulan, The Little Mermaid, Pocahontas and The Princess Who Kissed the Frog unite at Minneapolis’ Illusion Theater October 30- November 23, 2014.

What makes that bond between gay men and straight women so special, so necessary, and SO fabulous? FRUIT FLY: THE MUSICAL was developed and performed by Twin Cities actors Sheena Janson and Max Wojtanowicz, who met as kids in Community Theater in the St. Cloud area. Sheena and Max's weird, wonderful tale of friendship, which premiered to critical acclaim at the 2012 Minnesota Fringe Festival and was expanded at the Illusion's Fresh Ink Series, is told with music by Broadway veteran and recent Minneapolis transfer Michael Gruber, and directed by Nikki Swoboda.
