Autistic License

Back by popular demand, Illusion Theater will present AUTISTIC LICENSE by Stacey Dinner-Levin during the month of April for Autism Awareness Month. The production will travel to various locations throughout Minnesota as well as having one performance at Illusion Theater’s downtown Minneapolis location.
Autistic License offers a look at the complicated world of living with autism. It presents audiences with a glimpse of the joys, terrors, rewards and struggles of raising a child in a world that has far too many opinions on what is “normal.” This play offers a framework for talking about differences, challenges, and acceptance.
Autistic License was named one of the 10 Best Plays of 2007 by the St Paul Pioneer Press and was recently nominated for the national Theater Critics New Play Award.
