Grants and Funding

Illusion Theater

Illusion Theater is a fiscal year 2010 recipient for special Operating Support and a fiscal year 2011 recipient of the following grants from the Minnesota State Arts Board:

Arts Tour Minnesota: This grant allows Illusion Theater to take "My Antonia" and "Autistic License" to a dozen Minnesota communities each year for two years. Through this, Illusion is able to expand its touring in Minnesota, provide playwriting workshops and bring quality arts experience to youth and adults.

Arts Access: This grant allows Illusion Theater to use a variety of innovative and enjoyable strategies to create free access for adults and families from North Minneapolis to attend Illusion productions.

Arts in Education: This grant allows Illusion Theater to expand its innovative Peer Education program to a summer Twin Cities "super troupe" of teenagers, chosen from our Twin Cities Residency program and Statewide Peer Education program, for a three-week summer intensive at our theater in downtown Minneapolis.

These activities are funded, in part, by the Minnesota arts and cultural heritage fund as appropriated by the Minnesota State Legislature with money from the Legacy Amendment vote of the people of Minnesota on November 4, 2008.

Illusion Theater and School, Inc is supported by Arts Learning Xchange, a program funded by The Wallace Foundation and managed by Arts Midwest in collaboration with Minnesota Community Foundation.
